The mission of PURA VIDA is to educate our students through the guidance of a diverse group of skilled health care professionals providing a unique blend of the best of Eastern and Western modalities for a challenging educational experience. Students are diligently guided as they lean and discover how to skillfully work with the body's natural abilities as they grow personally and professionally achieving their highest potential in the field of massage therapy.
Educational Philosophy
Students of PURA VIDA will learn the profound effects that massage therapy has on the physical, chemical and mental well-being of the human body. Students will cultivate greater self-awareness, confidence to skillfully work in many different occupations, and how to strategically market themselves professionally. We emphasize the importance of good body mechanics and self care for longevity and happiness as a massage therapist.
Our Students
Massage therapy is the fastest growing health care profession and seems to attract people of diverse age ranges and backgrounds. Some are looking to change careers, others are just graduating from high school, eager to start a career - it all just seems to be a matter of timing. This variety of personalities adds to the student's process of learning with and from each other. Our students have access to a computer in the student lounge and are encouraged to form study groups.
